I Hate: Movies based on books I've read (they're always bad!), the concept of "celebrity", bad sequels to good movies, those damn "Truth" anti-smoking commercials, prejudice, stupidity, ignorance, and all the people with those traits, and most especially, people who can't take responsibility for their own actions. My biggest pet peeve at the moment are people who blame video games for violence. It doesn't get any more absurd.

The Perfect Man: Alec (Dark Angel)/Dean Winchester (Supernatural)

If I Were an Anime Character: I would be Yomiko Readman or Michelle Mui from Read Or Die, or Schiezka, from Fullmetal Alchemist. Seriously. My apartment will look like theirs, someday.

Poem: Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening - Robert Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
I love Robert Frost, and would recommend reading all of his poems to anyone. You can find most of them here. But of all his poems, this one is my favorite. I don't know how it is interperated, if I'm off, or repeating what a thousand other people have speculated, but to me, this poem is about a man looking back on his life, and wishing for death, for rest, but knowing that he has obligations to fulfill, and "promises to keep" - miles to go before he sleeps. I love this poem because the saddest thing to me has always been the denial of rest to someone who's weary of life, and the most admirable kind of (fictional) character is someone who's selfless enough to remain because they have an obligation to fulfil (i.e. Buffy, Brandon Heat from Gungrave).

Random Facts
» I am in college studying Web Design and Multimedia.
» I love voice actors and seiyuu. Seriously, I'm more of a fangirl for those than regular actors. It's weird. But voices go a looong way for me. ^_~
» I actually like dubbed anime. I mean, sure, a lot of dubs do suck...pretty bad, but there are a few (GitS: SAC, Fullmetal Alchemist, ROD the TV, Hellsing, etc) that I think were done pretty well in English <3
» I have a weird thing for Quentin Tarantino. Seriously, I only like maybe three of his movies, but for some reason, I have this strange need to see anything he is involved with.
» I'm a total misery junkie. I live for sad songs, movies, and books.
» I would love to visit Japan, and maybe live there for a while. Definitely an interesting culture to experience.
» I love anime, but the "classics" and me just don't seem to get along. I did not like Akira. I got maybe halfway through before I threw in the towel. Nor did I care for Metropolis. And Neon Genesis Evangelion (the dubed anime) is...not very good. Might be better in Japanese, but...GAH! Purple Evas? WTF? It's better in B & W...
