Tiger Eyes
This is the first (and only) novel-length story I've ever finished, and I'm currently doing my best to edit it (so many graphics projects to work on...). It's the first in a planned series of probably six centering around a group of young adults who are responcible for keeping the peace between two supernatural races at war: vampires and witches.Tiger Eyes, specifically, is the story of fifteen-year-old Kendra Morgan, who looses both her parents in a tragic house fire. She then becomes the ward of a young woman that she's never met--per her mother's will's strange instructions--and is moved across the country, to live with the woman and her five housemates. It is there that she learns about the existance of a dark underworld, whose warring races--vampires and witches--have been forced into a reluctant truce by their mutually acknowledged leader: Kendra's new guardian.
She and her housemates are Revenant Hunters turned peacekeepers, and they work to enforce their strict policies in order to end the bloodshed on both sides. But a strong new power has risen, intent on not only breaking the fragile peace, but ending the very lives of the youths Kendra has come to view as family. Caught in the middle of the struggle for power, can Kendra save her new family as she could not save her first?
